Happy 2014!!!

Just wanted to wish everyone a very happy new year! Here are a few random photos from the last few weeks that I found that I haven't had time to post. Hope you are having a fun break, see you all next week!

Published!!!

Today our published books arrived! In November we had the opportunity to write, illustrate and publish our very own class book, and today was the day when we finally received our beautiful hard-cover books. Each student wrote a story, from the perspective of a turkey, trying to persuade "Farmer Frank" not to eat them for Thanksgiving dinner, and all of the stories and illustrations were compiled into one class book.

The third graders were thrilled to finally see and read the finished product! If you didn't get a chance to order a copy, you are welcome to borrow our class copy, or if you are interested, there is still time to purchase your own copy.

3S Recommends...

This week we are showcasing....Marley!  Here's Marley's book recommendation for this week...

"You just HAVE to read Harry Potter and the Socrcerer's Stone by JK Rowling!  I loved this book because when all the owls in the Hogwart's business drop letters through the Dursleys' chimney, the whole house is full of envelopes.  Harry was jumping with joy! He finally got his letter! Harry opened it up, and he had been invited to Hogwarts!"
