On Thursday, Nov. 15th, the 3rd grade classes traveled to Highland Community College in Freeport to see the play, "Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp". Here's a photo of our classes getting ready for the play. We also stopped in at Subway in Stockton for a special lunch on the way home. Mrs. Reese and I were very proud of the 3rd graders' excellent behavior on this fieldtrip. We even received compliments from the other customers at Subway about their great behavior!

Finally....he's here!!! Meet my new grandson, Wyatt William Randecker, born Monday morning at 1:19 a.m. to my daughter, Meghan, and her husband, Matt. He weighed 8 lbs 11 oz. and was 21 inches long. He is just perfect, and everyone is doing great. Thanks so much for all of your thoughts, kind words, cards, gifts, and the yummy snacks at our little party today.
We were very honored today to invite into our classroom Corporal Robert McLane. Cpl. McLane (a.k.a. Kari's grandpa) served in the Marines and shared his interesting military experiences with our class. Thank you, Cpl. McLane, for visiting with the third graders, and, most of all....thank you for your service.
The third graders were excited this week to find out we were getting a new student! Welcome Bryan, we are so glad to have you in our class at River Ridge!
