This week we are showcasing....Sam!  Here is Sam's book recommendation for this week...

"You just HAVE to read Titanic by Mary Pope Osbourn and Will Osbourn.  I loved this book because it told me about the Titanic. Did you know that the Titanic had two layers of steel at the bottom of it, and they packed more than 1,000 quarts of ice cream?  I really loved this book.  Just so you know, SPLASH!!"

Digital Learning Day

On Feb. 5th, River Ridge was one of 11 schools across the state who participated in Digital Learning Day. It was a day to "showcase how technology is being implemented in education to enhance learning". The goal was for everyone at River Ridge to utilize technology in some way during that day. Of course, in third grade, we use technology EVERY day! :)  But here are a few photos of how we used the iPads that day to begin research projects on the Winter Olympics.

"You just HAVE to read Lego Friends: Mystery in the Whispering Woods by Caty Hapka!  I loved this book because there is a mystery and I have toys, too.  There is a horse in the story. And part of it is at school because they have science class.  They came in a forest, and there is a puppy.  That is all I will tell you about this story till you read it!"
