U, V, W, X and Y!

For U day, we watched the movie UP.  V day took us on a mini-VACATION to the Henry VILAS Zoo. On W day we used the WIND to fly kites as our AR 4th quarter reward, on X day we had X-tra snacks and an X-tra recess and on Y day we watched some fun videos on YOUTUBE.  Almost to Z!

ZOO!!!!!

We had an absolutely fabulous field trip yesterday to the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, WI.  A very special thank you goes to Brad and Candy Albrecht for providing a yummy lunch for us, and to Sandy Crist and Tara Ketelsen for helping chaperone!  The weather had us worried on the way to Madison (rain all the way) but it was bright and sunny when we got there.  The third graders were so excited and did an incredible job of representing River Ridge!  Check out some of the highlights below.  Class favorites included the new polar bear exhibit, seals, giraffes, lemurs, tigers, lions, flamingos, swan, and rhino.

P, Q, R, S, and T!!!

On Monday, we wore Purple and Pink and played Prodigy for P day.  On Tuesday, we worked on our zoo animal reports and went on Quests to answer Questions. Wednesday was a Rainy day and we had our Read and Feed.  On Thursday, we used Shaving cream to practice our Spelling words.  And, on Friday, we had a treat of Taco Pizza (thanks Lisa Walters!) and played giant Twister!  Whew!!! What a busy week!!!
