Thanks so much to our local fire departments for teaching us about fire safety today! It was a beautiful morning and the third graders were excited to try out the fire hose, and climb up into the fire trucks. They also got to practice stop, drop, cover, and roll, and take a tour of the ambulance. Finally, they went in the "safety house" and learned about preventing fires in the kitchen, and what to do if a fire ever breaks out in their house. Does your family have a plan and a meeting place?
