Today we welcomed Mr. Steve Cotler to River Ridge. He is the author of the "Cheesy Mack" series, which we are currently reading in our classroom. The third graders are loving his first book, and we were fascinated to discover that he actually rewrote that book 8 times before it was published! He shared some fun stories, and the third and fourth graders participated in a character study of Cheesy and his best friend, Georgie. Mr. Cotler wanted the students to remember that when writing, every single word has a purpose.
